Return To In-Person Parent Letter

 Hello Lincoln Savage Families, 19-Feb-2021

As previously communicated, Lincoln Savage Middle School is returning to In-Person learning beginning Monday, 22-Feb-2021.  You should have received a message from the school indicating which Hybrid cohort your child will attend (Hybrid group A or Hybrid group B).  (if you are still unclear...please call our main office @ 541-862-2171 for more information).

Please be advised:

All COVID-related safety protocols remain in effect. These include:

  1. Mask wearing by all teachers, staff, and students when on premise or traveling on school buses.

  2. Maintaining six feet of distance whenever possible in classrooms, hallways, and congregating areas.

  3. Frequent washing of hands by all teachers, staff, and students as well as frequent cleaning of rooms and hallways throughout the day.

  4. Reduced class sizes and hybrid scheduling to reduce potential exposure opportunities in middle and high schools.

  5. If your child is not feeling well...please keep them home.  You are the first line of defense in keeping everyone safe.

A couple of reminders from the staff as they are eagerly awaiting the return of our students;

  1. Please have your student on campus no earlier than 8:30 am.  We are limited in space for students to safely socially distance as they await the start of the school day.  Students arriving prior to 8:30 am may be asked to wait outside.

  2. There has been a change to the daily schedule… 4th period will begin prior to the lunch break.  Please make sure you are following the Hybrid Daily Schedule.

  3. Remember to bring your chromebook fully charged (everyday) along with the charging cord.  Also, please remember school electronic devices are to be used for educational purposes only.

  4. Please leave any & all unneeded items at home.  Needed items include electronic devices, binders, pens, pencils, paper, earbuds or headphones and the like.

  5. On remote learning days....as teachers are required to wear a mask while teaching, there might be some sound quality issues for at-home learners...please write in the chat appropriate questions, email the teacher, and/or come to Academic Support. Teachers may not be able to respond to your questions immediately.

  6. Please be patient with our teachers as they are moving from classroom to classroom throughout the day.  This may lead to a delay in the teacher’s ability to open each Google-Meet session on time.  We do not foresee this being a huge delay...maybe a minute or two.

Bus schedules are available on the Three Rivers District website…

  1. Go to Three Rivers District home page… https://www.threerivers.k12.or.us/

  2. Click on the Departments tab at the top of the home page...

  3. Click on the Transportation tab…

  4. Click on the Lincoln Savage Button.

  5. If you do not see an appropriate bus route for your student please call our main office and we will be glad to help.

With your help and support we can make this a great opportunity for all of our students.

Mr. Higgins - Principal
